The Honda CR-V offers models that suit the lifestyle of everyone with a wide stance and touch design. Below, we want to propose a comparison description of the CR-V models – LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring. Explore the four Honda CR-V trim levels, and after that you can decide which one is the best for you.
At first, let’s look at the base LX and EX trim levels. The entry-level LX trim level comes with a 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder engine that produces around 184 horsepower. As it's the base CR-V level, it doesn't include the smart key that you can see on other CR-V versions.
The Honda CR-V EX comes with a 1.5-liter, turbo 4-cylinder motor that delivers 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. As you can see, there is a little difference between these two models in horsepower, but you can also notice one important thing. The EX model features the turbo engine famous for grabbing more compressed air and consequently provides a smooth drive, acceleration, and speed.
The LX trim level has basic equipment such as the backup camera, automatic climate control, and an easy-to-use infotainment system. The EX version is based on the LX and offers some extra features that make it more attractive than the base LX trim. Both CR-V models can be called for AWD with an additional expenditure though.
The EX trim level has control with two zones, while the LX doesn't have it. Besides, the EX is fitted with Blind Spot Information System and a power-operated moon roof. Those are the elements you won't find on the LX trim. If you have to choose between these two, the EX model is a winner, as it's a price-friendly and rich in features crossover SUV.
So, what additional features do you get with the EX-L? The EX and EX-L come with the same Honda Sensing features and active and passive features of protection. However, the EX-L gets an improvement of the audio with a stereo system of eight speakers.
The changes of the interior have happened because of the several convenience features enhancements. The EX-L comes with a leather shifter knob, the HomeLink universal transceiver system, and a rearview mirror with auto-dimming. With this trim, you'll get the memory function for the seats that can remember up to two positions for the driver seat. The front passenger's seat has the power lumbar, which you can adjust in four ways. The seats get unique leather upholstery.
If we look at the outside, there is almost no difference between the EX and EX-L. However, the EX-L adds a power tailgate with a regulated height feature. When it comes to the bodies and mechanical elements, they are identical.
The upper version of the Honda CR-V is the Touring. It offers the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System. This system contains HD Digital Traffic, HD radio, and the quality to recognize voice commands. For this model, Honda adds a 330-watt premium sound system with nine speakers and a subwoofer.
As for the comfort, the Touring and EX-L have identical elements of convenience, the seats, and, of course, the stuff under the hood.
